Veteran's Benefits for Qualified Wartime Veterans
The Department of Veteran's Affairs (VA) offers special financial benefits to help wartime veterans and/or their spouses or widows pay for assisted living. For additional information, contact Marilyn Gibson at 706-337-7366.

The Department of Veteran's Affairs (VA) is reaching out to inform wartime veterans and surviving spouses of deceased wartime veterans about special monthly pension benefits called Aid and Attendance.
Many elderly veterans and surviving spouses whose incomes are less than required for assisted living may still be eligible for the special monthly Aid and Attendance benefit if they reside in an assisted living community.
To qualify, claimants must be incapable of self support and in need of regular personal assistance.
